Edwards and O'Neil Included in Wolves Head Coach Contenders

Rob Edwards along with Gary O'Neil are two of the early names in the frame to replace the former manager as manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The previous coach was sacked on Sunday after the squad's 10-match winless beginning to the top-flight season.

And both candidates - each of whom have previous links to the team - are part of the names to be considered by the Wolves ownership.

Edwards is presently at another club, which would create a possible obstacle to his hiring at Wolves' stadium.

However the former Luton head coach - who played more than 100 of appearances for the club during his time as a player - is said to be a strong candidate for the position.
