Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence is not the first occasion that a American defense plane ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a American military jet transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
