The relatives of teens unaccounted for after a devastating inferno at a bar in a Swiss winter destination are facing an painful wait for answers and requesting clues about their family members publicly.

The inferno devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Circulated images reveal the roof structure igniting as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take days if not weeks to identify the those who perished of the fire, which killed numerous partygoers and injured another over a hundred. Authorities said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the remaining few.

In the waiting period, families and friends have been using social media to appeal for any news about their missing relatives who were at the bar that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, a teenager, are currently unknown, according to an appeal from his parent.

The resident of a town near the city, explained to a publication that she had gone back to the city to see if he was in the medical facility, while his father did the same in Bern, but was unsuccessful.

"I'm living a nightmare, a horror. The options are finding my son in the hospital mortuary, or I find him in a serious state. Words cannot describe it," she said.

She continued that some of his peers had been located with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "It's indescribable; they experienced an absolute nightmare."

The Italian foreign ministry has indicated that six of its nationals are still unaccounted for.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the venue.

"A companion told me they ran away after the fire erupted and that he had his phone with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers said, "I remember his kindness and positive demeanor, alongside great responsibility. He would frequently offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives full-time in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to media.

Her brother has posted an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
