Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has considerable social media audience
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile supporters when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple courses worldwide and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to play and enjoy myself," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better individual. He suggested me to go out there, relax, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, particularly among younger fans.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
